Guide: Edit PDF

Detailed guide on how to use this tool

What you can change in a PDF without software

Online PDF editing means changing the document structure — page order, orientation, content and dimensions. The Edit PDF tool operates at the page level, not the character level.

    Available operations:

    • Delete pages — remove unnecessary pages from contracts, scans or reports
    • Rotate pages — fix incorrectly scanned pages (90°, 180°, 270°)
    • Reorder pages — drag pages into the correct sequence
    • Crop margins — remove extra whitespace or trim to a required size
    • Resize pages — standardise mixed formats to A4 or Letter

    Step-by-step instructions

    Step 1: Upload the PDF

    1. Open Edit PDF.
    2. Drop the file or use the file picker (up to 500 MB).
    3. Wait for page thumbnails to load.

    Step 2: Apply changes

Delete pages. Select the pages to remove and click delete. Multiple pages can be selected at once.

Rotate pages. Select pages and use the rotation buttons (90° clockwise / counter-clockwise). Select all incorrectly oriented pages and rotate them in one action.

Reorder. Drag page thumbnails into the desired sequence. Changes reflect in the preview immediately.

Crop. Switch to crop mode, draw the area to keep on a page, and confirm. The same crop can be applied to all pages.

    Step 3: Save the result

Click "Save changes" and download the updated PDF. Your original file is unchanged.

    Frequently asked questions

Can I edit the text in a PDF online?

This tool works at the page level: deletion, rotation, reordering, cropping. Text editing and annotations require a different, specialised editor.

    Are signatures and stamps preserved?

Yes, page content is not modified. Electronic signatures, stamps and annotations stay in place unless you delete the page they are on.

The file got larger after editing — why?

Cropping or resizing pages may slightly increase file size due to metadata recalculation. Run the result through Compress PDF to restore a compact size.
