Guide: Images to PDF

Detailed guide on how to use this tool

    When you need this

Common scenarios for combining photos into a PDF:

    • Multiple passport or document scans need to be sent as one file
    • A photo report from a site visit needs to be packaged for a client
    • Handwritten note pages are compiled into a single document
    • Product photos are assembled into a PDF catalogue

The Images to PDF tool supports JPG, PNG and WEBP and lets you set page order before building the PDF.

    Step-by-step instructions

    Step 1: Prepare your images

    Before uploading:

    • Check orientation — portrait or landscape depending on content
    • If files are large, compress them first via Compress JPG or Compress PNG
    • Name files in sequence (01_page.jpg, 02_page.jpg) for easier sorting

    Step 2: Upload images

    1. Open Images to PDF.
    2. Upload all photos — select multiple files or drag a group.
    3. Check the page order and reorder thumbnails if needed.

    Step 3: Build the PDF

    1. Click "Create PDF" and wait for processing.
    2. Download the file.
    3. If the file is too large, compress it via Compress PDF.

    Tips for best results

Scan resolution. 150–200 DPI is enough for official documents. 300 DPI for archival purposes. Higher than 300 DPI produces very large files with no visible improvement.

Mixed orientations. Portrait and landscape images each become a page in their own orientation — this is expected behaviour.

Page order. Set the order before building. You can reorder pages afterwards in Edit PDF, but it is easier to get it right first.

    Frequently asked questions

How many photos can I upload?

There is no page limit — only a total size limit of 500 MB, which is more than enough for most reports and documents.

    Is image quality preserved?

Yes, images are embedded without re-encoding. To reduce file weight, compress photos beforehand or use Compress PDF afterwards.

Can I mix photos with text PDFs?

The Images to PDF tool only accepts image files. To combine the resulting PDF with text PDFs, use Merge PDF afterwards.
